    This pair of antique Neoclassical Egyptian style fire dogs are originally from France and are very unusual. Full of charm and character, the cast iron andirons were designed to hold the log basket in place and to provide a space underneath the firewood for the lighter and more flammable materials that were used to start a fire.

    The andirons are offered in very good vintage condition and the details on the faces’ are sharp and well preserved.
