Description
The modernist design of the stool by the designers, Harry & Camila, is very distinctive. The seat, with its visible curves and ergonomic feel is formed by bending back on itself in a ess-shape.
Harry van Ierssel was born in 1966 in Breda, The Netherlands; he studied at both the Design Academy in Eindhoven and the Domus Academy in Milan. A Chilean national, his wife Camila was born in 1971 and also obtained her degree from the Domus Academy. They founded their own design studio “harry & camila” in 1998. The experimental use of materials and shapes characterises their work, which has featured regularly in exhibitions in Europe, the U.S.A. and Japan since 1999.
