Born in 1954, Diana Thiry lives and works in Netherlands. Influenced by Asian tradition, culture and aesthetics the artist uses everyday objects like a kimono, fan, teapot, pair of shoes which she transforms with the bursts of colour, delicately combining luminous reds, transparent yellows and velvety blacks.
Abstract or figurative, her images take the viewer on a fascinating oriental journey, which is revealed to us in its rarest and most sophisticated splendour.
